I've been photographing weddings and families in and around Asheville for five years, and every single session still gives me the same feeling it did on day one: the quiet thrill of witnessing something real. The mountains here have a way of making people honest — they drop the performance, breathe in the pine air, and just be. That's when I click the shutter.
My approach is rooted in natural light and natural feeling. I don't use harsh artificial flash or stiff, catalog-pose direction. Instead, I guide you gently — a suggestion here, a laugh there — and let your relationship do the work. The result is imagery that looks like the two of you, not like a stock photo trying to approximate you.
Rustic and handmade is more than an aesthetic for me — it's a philosophy. I believe the textures of real life: the worn wood fence, the wildflower field, the imperfect candlelit barn — are infinitely more beautiful and meaningful than any polished studio backdrop. I want your photographs to smell like the outdoors and feel like home.
